Ashton Beau's Disgruntled Toddler Face
This past Saturday the weather in Chicago was unusually balmy. So we went to the park. At the park Ashton Beau kept spinning the wheel on another kid's bike. DW first nicely told him "no" and asked him t stop. When he didn't, she went to a more stern "no" and asked him to stop again. Still no compliance. Third time was a charm. She took him firmly by the arm and escorted AB away from the bike to another part of the playground, much to his apparent dismay.

I've just spent half the day reading through your archives. I am impressed with how organized you and your wife were with packing, and how detailed you were in documenting what's useful/what's not (eg, gladware, plastic sleeves for documents, etc.)
Your son is adorable and I enjoyed reading. To think that you might have ended up with some other little boy in Ulyanovsk- I can't imagine that and I'm sure neither can you. Its amazing how life/fate/God/whatever you believe in, leads you to those you love.
I'll be back when/if we ever get to the point of travel as you've got some very good detail.
I have visited your blog before, but just saw you list it recently in the A-PARENT-RUSS list serve, so I thought I would check it out again. That is a classic photo!
You have a lot of good travel advice in your blog- thanks for the resource!
We used to live in Chicago too. We actually lived in Oak Brook (western suburb) near Downers Grove. Nice people there, but horrible weather!
