Caboose at the Izaak Walton Inn
Our cabin at the Izaak Walton Inn was a retired caboose from the Great Northern Railway...
AB enjoyed his first trip out on snowshoes....
...and making snowshoe snow angels....
And walking among the cabins...
The inn has a model of a 1940's vintage Empire Builder that circumnavigates the dining room captivating AB....
So much action tired him out too...

Westbound Aboard Amtrak's Empire Builder
This Thanksgiving we took Amtrak's Empire Builder to the Izaak Walton in Montana just outside Glacier National Park.
AB and DW prepare to board out local commuter train. From there it's into Chicago's Union Station to board the Empire Builder.....
